"Today I decided to photograph a few of my favorite sights near the 3-block long, almost daily walk to Trader Joe's."

Just one of the gazillion or so famous Portland roses...this one a perfect, nearly forgotten vintage miniature, maybe one-and-a-half inches across.

This fetching little porch bearing white wicker chairs always looks colorful & inviting,  regardless of the season.

The ex-owner of this house was busted many years ago for maintaining some one-dozen or so "pot grow-houses" in Portland, this being one of the largest.  I've heard the current owner picked the place up on a forfeiture for "a nickel and a dime" after the bust...and managed to build these beautiful "city building code-violating" decks, and never had to tear them down. (Can you say, "possible under-the-table shenanigans"?)

My favorite "condo kitty" courtyard environment in the neighborhood, the luscious well-kept Patricia Court.

 A Patricia Court window.

The coolest "yard Buddha" on the block.

My recently 'cleared & cleaned' covered-porch, sight of thousands of morning coffees & evening libations over the years, rain, sun or snow...gray or shine...moon or no moon.
