I've always adored these enchanting corner balconies located above the front porches on many of the Victorians in the neighborhood. If I were to reside in one of these places it's no secret where my friends and I would be conducting 'clubhouse' meetings! (complete with a small refrigerator perhaps?)
Very nice intersecting shadows on NW Johnson under the I-405.
Utility pole art is catching on.
The historic Chown Building water tower located in the Pearl District. Current prices for 1 & 2 bedroom lofts in this building are 400,000 to 600,000 dollars. There was a time when all buildings had a water source on the roof for domestic use. Reasons were easy distribution of the water to the residents due to gravity, or what is called 'hydrostatic pressure' produced by the elevation of the water. When the water level got low, pumps were used to fill the tanks.
My dear friend Leonice treated me to a couple of 'Birthday' pints and a delicious meal at the spacious and sunny Deschutes Brewery & Public House down in The Pearl. A most pleasant experience in a friendly space. I recommend...if you're ever in Portland or Bend, Oregon check it out.

An appropriate new etching spotted on a Pearl District sidewalk.
The largest bicycle trailer I've seen to date...and doesn't that appear to be a wheelchair wheel on the trailer?
The rental truck I've secured foir the big move this coming Thursday has a lovely hood ornament.
(I may accidentally "borrow" it once the move is completed.)
